Hosting Guests from Kazakhstan within the Erasmus+ Program

As the Department of Early Childhood Education, Division of Preschool Education at Marmara University, we were delighted to host students from Kazakhstan within the scope of the Erasmus+ Program. Throughout the program, various activities were conducted focusing on environmental education, resilience, and problem-solving skills in early childhood.

On the first day, Prof. Dr. Asude Balaban Dağal conducted a workshop titled “Environmental Education in Early Childhood.” Following the presentation, students worked in small groups to develop environment-themed activities and presented their projects. Participants also shared examples of environmental education practices from their own countries, creating opportunities for mutual exchange of ideas and experiences.

On the second morning, under the guidance of Dr. Işık Kamaraj, participants visited the Istanbul Toy Museum, where they had the opportunity to explore the relationship between childhood, play, and cultural heritage.

In the afternoon, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatma Özge Aksebzeci led a session titled “Resilience and Problem Solving.”

This two-day event provided participants with the opportunity to engage with academics and students from different cultural backgrounds, share best practices in the field of early childhood, and gain an interdisciplinary perspective.
